Meet the Surgeon

A surgeon’s precision, an architect’s eye.

Dr. Shaharyar Raza has completed FCPS Part 1 in Surgery and is currently a surgical resident pursuing FCPS Part 2 at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Karachi — a government teaching hospital. Alongside his residency, he practises facial aesthetic and hair restoration procedures, with a defined focus on the precision these disciplines demand.

Every case begins with analysis of your facial proportions and hairline anatomy. Outcomes are planned in detail, not improvised — because natural, durable results are engineered through precise surgical design.

FUE Hair Restoration

Make your childhood hairline.

Hair restoration by follicular unit extraction — grafts placed individually at the correct angle, direction and depth to rebuild an age-appropriate hairline. Results and graft survival vary between individuals.

FUE & DHI Grafting

Minimally invasive extraction and single-follicle implantation, aimed at natural-looking density.

Exosome Therapy

Regenerative cell-signalling to support graft survival and native hair quality.

PRP Therapy

Autologous platelet-rich plasma to strengthen follicles and condition the recipient site.

The treatment pathway

Restoration follows a defined biological timeline. Here is what to expect at each stage, set out honestly.

1

Consultation & hairline design

Assessment of donor density, hair calibre and loss pattern, followed by collaborative hairline design.

2

The procedure

A single-day FUE session under local anaesthesia — precise graft placement, minimal downtime.

3

Weeks 2–8: shedding phase

Transplanted shafts shed as follicles enter a new growth cycle — expected and temporary.

4

Months 4–12: maturation

Grafts regrow progressively, maturing into full, natural density by around twelve months.

Dimpleplasty

Creating smiles that stay.

Dimple creation via an internal (intraoral) suture technique — a short, minimally invasive facial procedure. Individual results, symmetry and longevity vary.

Natural definition — anatomically placed to animate only on smiling
20–30 minutes — local anaesthesia, ~1 day downtime
Individualised placement — mapped to your facial proportions. Men & women.

The Approach

Why patients choose Dr. Raza.

Aesthetic work is judged in millimetres. These are the principles every case is planned around.

Designed, not improvised

Every hairline and dimple is mapped to your facial proportions before anything begins — the plan is the procedure.

Restraint over excess

The goal is a result that reads as natural rather than operated. Where less will look better, less is what is recommended.

Hospital-grounded training

Practice built on surgical residency at JPMC Karachi, with techniques applied as they are taught in a teaching-hospital setting.

An honest assessment

You will be told what is realistic for your anatomy, including when a procedure is not advisable. Suitability is decided at consultation.

One focused field

Facial aesthetics and hair restoration only — depth in two disciplines rather than a little of everything.

Care that continues

Aftercare guidance and follow-up are part of the treatment, not an afterthought once the procedure is done.

Patient Information

Frequently asked questions.

Will an FUE hairline look natural?

A natural-looking result depends on an age-appropriate hairline shape, the correct exit angle and direction of each graft, soft transitional density at the frontal zone, and single-follicle placement along the leading edge. This design phase is central to the outcome, though results vary with each person’s hair characteristics and donor supply.

Is a hair transplant permanent?

Grafts are harvested from the donor zone, which is typically more resistant to the pattern of hair loss, so transplanted follicles are generally long-lasting. Outcomes vary between individuals, and we also advise on preserving your native hair so overall density remains balanced over time.

How much downtime is involved?

FUE is usually a single-day procedure under local anaesthesia; many patients resume normal routines within a few days, though recovery varies. Dimpleplasty commonly involves around a day of downtime. Your individual recovery will be discussed at consultation.

When are hair-restoration results visible?

Transplanted shafts typically shed within the first 2–8 weeks as the follicles reset — this is expected. New growth commonly begins around month four and continues maturing over roughly twelve months. Timelines differ from person to person.

Does dimpleplasty leave a visible scar?

The dimple is created through an intraoral (internal) suture technique, so there is no external incision on the cheek. As with any procedure, individual healing varies and risks are discussed at consultation.

Am I a suitable candidate?

Candidacy is confirmed at consultation, where donor density, hair characteristics and medical history are assessed. A procedure is recommended only where it is clinically appropriate and likely to deliver a natural result.
